Um bókina
In the fall of 2009 japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara (f. 1959) created a new installation for the Reykjavík Art Museum in collaboration with Hideki Toyoshima, one of the founders of the design collaborative graf.
Within the shipping crates, visitors found paintings, drawings, and sculptures by Nara himself. Nara is often associated with the contemporary Japanese Pop art movement, which is known as “Superflat.” He currently lives and works in Tokyo, though his artwork has been exhibited worldwide. Nara has had nearly 40 solo exhibitions since 1984.
